This is a plain-language summary of how DuelChaos (the independent fan site at duelchaos.top) treats your information. It is written to be readable, not to bury you. It is also a template — before you rely on it for a live site, have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.

We're a small, independent project that documents the viral moments of Duel.com's live blackjack table. We are not a casino, we don't take deposits, and we don't run a login or a user account system. That keeps the data we touch deliberately minimal — the sections below spell out exactly what that means.

What we collect (and what we don't)

We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't run contact forms that store your details on our servers. There are two ways a small amount of data can change hands:

• Server logs. Like almost every website, our host records standard request data — your IP address, browser type, and the pages you opened — for security and to keep the site online. These logs are short-lived and not used to build a profile of you.
• Analytics (consent-gated). If you visit from the EU or UK, no analytics run until you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, we don't load the analytics script at all. Outside those regions, privacy-respecting aggregate analytics may run to tell us which pages are read — never to identify you personally.

We do not collect special-category data, we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and we do not buy data about you from third parties.

How cookies work here

A cookie is a tiny text file a site stores in your browser. We keep ours to a minimum and split them into two honest buckets:

• Essential (always on). One small local-storage value remembers that you've confirmed you're 18+, so the age check doesn't reappear on every page. It holds no personal information and isn't shared.
• Analytics (off until you opt in). Only set if you accept analytics. They help us see which documented moments and explainers people actually read. EU/UK visitors are never given these by default — consent comes first, as required by the UK GDPR and the EU's ePrivacy rules.

You can clear or block cookies any time in your browser settings. Doing so won't break the site — at most, the age confirmation will ask again. You can also change your mind on consent whenever you like via the banner.

When you click a button to visit Duel through our tracked link, that click may be attributed to us and we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you, and with zero effect on what we write. Once you leave DuelChaos, you're on someone else's site — Duel.com, a news publisher we cite, or a help service like BeGambleAware. Their privacy practices are their own and aren't covered here. We never pass your personal details to an operator; the affiliate system only records that a click came from our site, not who you are.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to anyone. Full stop.

If you're in the UK, EU, or another region with similar data laws, you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. Because we store so little, most requests are quick to honour.
